Our Vets put their best foot forward for World Wildlife Foundation!

Our team members  are walking hundreds of miles in November to raise money for animals.

Ten employees at Linnaeus-owned Donnachie & Townley (D&T), in Rugeley, will be taking on the ‘60 miles in November’ challenge by the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF).

Everyone from vets through to nurses, management and the reception team are taking on the challenge in a bid to raise £250 for the charity.

Organiser and D&T nurse team leader Jo Waldron said: “The 60 miles in November will see the team complete the distance by whichever means they like – from walking and running through to dancing, cycling and swimming.

“We’re also walking together at lunch times which is great for team bonding and a mental health boost. It’s really nice to be out in the fresh air, enjoying each other’s company away from the work environment. It’s also great for our fitness levels, which is always a bonus!”

The team will be walking 60 miles each around Rugeley and Stafford to raise money for the global environmental charity.

This is not the D&T team’s first group challenge. Earlier this year, our staff took on a 5km walk to celebrate International Nurses Day.

Jo added: “We’re really hoping to improve our own mental health and fitness as a team, while raising money for WWF, a charity close to our hearts.”
